An intensive Outpatient Program (known as IOP) is ideal for individuals who have already been stabilized from withdrawal symptoms and want to continue treatment outside of the normal residential setting. IOP is the primary treatment program recommended by clinical and medical staff for individuals who are newly sober or those who are in need of continual resources to help with addiction. Patients in IOP can attend multiple sessions per week while still living at home and meeting personal or work obligations.
The intensive outpatient program is designed to be more intensive than outpatient therapy by offering a multi-modal, multidisciplinary program. During an IOP patients will have access to psychiatrists, nurses, and drugs and alcohol counselors, and behavioral health professionals. An On-Call Corporate Policy is in place for patients to contact a staff member while outside of Landmark facilities.
Plan to attend 10 times a week for a standard IOP. Still, early discharge is possible for patients if they no longer meet all parts of medical necessity as defined by the ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) criteria for addictive, substance-related, and co-occurring conditions.
